How detestable it is if it’s true that church schools have pulled out of the Games Opening Ceremony to respect Sunday. Is it alll or just one denomination school walking off?
But what about the National Council of Churches endorsement of the Sunday activities as more along an evangelical vein?
General Secretary Rev. Ma’auga has already said so in public about a month or so ago there’s nothing unholy about the entertainment.
If the Council has given their approval and the kids have spent all this time and effort in preparations, why leave it to the last minute?
Something doesn’t sit right here. If it is just one church school involved and all the rest are staying on then something definitely smells.
Please don’t say there are politics involved. The Games are beyond politics.
This is a national obligation that we as a country are committed to as a whole. This is not the time to bring up any petty religious vendettas to reflect badly on our proud name as the host country.
Do us a favour also and stop hiding behind the teachings of the Bible. The Church Council is a body inspired by the peace and unity of God not by the manipulative influence of Lucifer.
Devil be gone.
