One more fatality is added to the measles death toll that now stands at 71 in the  late 24 hour Update Report 25.

This is compared to none in the previous 24 hour  Updated Report 24.

New recorded cases continue to slip with 83 recorded compared to 87 in the previous update.

The Ministry of Health confirms a total of 4,898 measles cases

There are currently 169 measles cases who are in-patients at all health facilities.  Of this, 133 are at the Tupua Tamasese Meaole Hospital (TTMH), 5 at Poutasi District Hospital, 3 at Lalomanu DH, 15 at the Leulumoega Rural District Hospital, 3 at the Malietoa Tanumafili II Hospital (MTIIH) 5 at Foailalo DH, 1 Sataua DH and 4 at Safotu District Hospital.  Admissions include 20 critically ill children in ICU/HDU and 3 pregnant women at TTMH.

The total number of measles cases admitted to all hospitals recorded for the outbreak to date is 1,541.  Of that, 1,301 (84%) patients have been discharged. Recovery rate remains the same since the last update.
