Close to a hundred local volunteers of the Helping Hands group are taking daily shifts to serve hot meals and fruits to the increasing number of family care givers at the TTM Hospital, Motootua.

The help is not limited to members caring for measles in-patients, but hungry security guards and police officers as well.

Yesterday evening, the team made another round to give hot meals to people in hospitals and also they target the nurses as well and doctors.

Volunteer, of the Helping Hands, Forrest Fabricius and Jarom Woo Ching spoke to Newsline Samoa outside the blue tent saying they are grateful to be part of the team to help out and provide nourishments for the people.

"We are here everyday to give food to those people who are here to care for the patients.

“ We also help the securities and those other staffs here by providing hot meals for them. We are a volunteer group and we basically come around everyday to do our service.' admitted Fabricius.

With a container of fresh apples and hot meals already dropped off, the boys said their group serving in different areas where meals are dropped off.

The boys said they are happy to provide a simple service and help the people going through treatments at the hospital.
