A woman who is charged with attempted murder as well as grievous bodily harm of a male from Solaua, Saoluafata pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The woman is in legal strife for discharging a firearm, attempted murder, armed with a dangerous weapon and grievous bodily harm.

The incident occurred on the 29th of October this year.

Police court report showed the defendant allegedly discharged a Remington model 22 pump action rifle to endanger, annoy or frighten passers by or residents of Solaua.

She also has to answer to an alleged attempt to commit murder on a male of Solaua and to cause grievous bodily harm.

Justice Leiataualesa Daryl Clarke adjourn the matter for hearing to the 17th of August 2020.

The woman is currently on bail.

Earlier this week defense counsel Tauiliili Harry Schuster applied for a variation for bail to allow her client to travel to New Zealand.

Prosecutor Magele Sua Mailo informed the court that they opposed bail and therefore needs time to review the application by the defendant.

Justice Leiataualesa will rule this Friday on the travel application.
